Math Wednesday

This is my math task that I have accomplished today,I am getting better and better at using this strategy to solve these entertaining questions I am looking forward for the next one ''/.

  1. 5.53 - 4.95= 0.58  (4.95 + 0.05 = 5.00)(5.53 + 0.05 =5.58)(5.58 - 5.00 = 0.58)

  2. 7.32 - 5.95= 1.37 (5.95 + 0.05 = 6.00)(7.32 + 0.05 =7.37)(7.37 - 6.00 = 1.37)

  3. 9.34 - 4.99= 4.35  (4.99 + 0.01 = 5.00)(9.34 + 0.01 = 9.35)(9.35 - 5.00 = 4.35)

  4. 8.42 - 5.98=  2.44 (5.98 + 0.02 = 6.00)(8.42 + 0.02 = 8.44)(8.44 - 6.00 = 2.44)

  5. 9.22 - 3.95= 5.27 (3.95 + 0.05 = 4.00)(9.22 + 0.05 =9.27)(9.27 - 4.00 = 5.27)

  6. 8.11 - 3.85 = 4.26 (3.85 + 0.15 = 4.00)(8.11 + 0.15 = 8.26)(8.26 - 4.00 = 4.26)

  7. 9.32 - 7. 89= 1.43 (7.89 + 0.11 =8.00)(9.32 + 0.11 =9.43)(9.43 - 8.00 = 1.43)

  8. 10. 42 - 6. 99= 3.43 (6.99 + 0.01 = 7.00)(10.42 + 0.01 =10.43)(10.43 - 7.00 = 3.43)

  9. 12. 31 - 5. 98= 6.33 (5.98 + 0.02 = 6.00)(12.31 + 0.02 = 12.33)(12.33 - 6.00 =6.33)

  10. 14.23 - 4.96= 9.27 (4.96 + 0.04 = 5.00)(14.23 + 0.04 = 14.27)(14.27 - 5.00 = 9.27)

  2. Kia Ora Benjamin,
My name is Caitlin and I am a year 7 at Belfast School.
These Math tasks look very entertaining. Decimals are very fun to work with.
This reminded me of when I learnt about Decimals.
Maybe next time you could make the word more clear.
    Kind Regards
    Caitlin
